Smart Thermostats

Keyless Entry

Schlage designed the Keyless Deadbolt so you won’t ever be locked out of your house again.  It’s a touchscreen deadbolt that has advanced features which include:

  • Screen indicators that provide alerts when access is granted or denied and when the batteries are going low;
  • The motorized bolt locks and unlocks when the correct code is entered;
  • When the deadbolt isn’t fully locked, it beeps;
  • It comes with an anti-pick shield;
  • It comes with an auto-lock feature in case it’s left unlocked;
  • An alarm sounds when movement or door vibration is senses;
  • It’s considered the highest level of residential security in door locks with an ANSI Grade 1 certification.

Lighting & Garage

LiftMaster manufactured the MyQ technology which lets you activate garage doors, access gates, and interior lighting with your smartphone or online.  You can check status from anywhere worldwide and operate your devices remotely.

Wireless Speakers

Sonos created the wireless speaker system which allows you to access music through your PC, Mac, iPad, Android, or iPhone.  There are three styles of speakers you can choos from, Play:3, Play:5, or Soundbar.  Sonos describes the Play:3 as “the smaller, sexier, tuck in the corner and blow out the roof, all-in-one payer”, the Play:5 as “the original, bigger room, bigger sound, all in-one wireless music system, and the Soundbar as “a compliment to an HD TV that can wirelessly stream all the music on Earth.”

Security

You can monitor and control your home security with the Vivint Home Security system.  The package includes a touchscreen panel, three door and window sensors, a motion detector, a key fob, a yard sign, and severe weather alerts.

Coffee Maker

You can make your coffee with your iPhone or iPad with the Scanomat system.  The company makes numerous remote accessed coffee makers like the TopBrewer.  The TopBrewer received the iF product design award in 2013 and is hidden underneath a counter.  It has an elegant swan neck designed faucet that dispenses the coffee into your cup.  It can be installed under any counter top surface.
